Description

A type of underwater fungi that helps barnacles grow. The plant itself has an appearance of a molting seashell carved into the side of most underwater rocks and greenery finding a steady housing. It accelerates the growth of plant life around it by twofold and makes crustacean-like shapes grow near it. The large barnacles that grow on it can be harvested and are often used by hermit crabs to get new houses or are used in jewelry. They give off a pleasant scent making most sea life flock to its presence, which can turn to a foul smell when taken out of the water.

Location

In most coral reefs and other luscious patches of seagrass.

Development

They start their life as one of the barnacles that fall off the plant when fully grown. When planted inside fertile soil, that being sand or dirt underwater. Eventually, a small plant will grow that will start to cultivate the land around it, and are rather common.

• When taken out of the water it secretes a horrid smell that is capable of repelling all known forms of land animals or creatures that carry a sense of such.
