Shrouding almost all of the entire known world of Ephimoria and beyond, this strange nebulous entity is simply known as "The Miasma". A sinister force of nature that seems to corrupt and change everything it touches into something far more twisted and malicious then its original intent. Most often seen as a black and violet cloud like entity, it is theorized to be less a deliberate curse and more of a force of nature created as a byproduct of the fracture event. Regardless of its potential origins, the danger it poses is all too real to any kind of life. Those that are infected by it suffer from the affliction known as [[Corrosion Sickness|corrosion sickness]] when exposed to it for too long, and those who find themselves utterly subsumed by it are turned into egoless husks, known as [[The Lost|the lost]]. | |||

The Miasma
Shrouding almost all of the entire known world of Ephimoria and beyond, this strange nebulous entity is simply known as "The Miasma". A sinister force of nature that seems to corrupt and change everything it touches into something far more twisted and malicious then its original intent. Most often seen as a black and violet cloud like entity, it is theorized to be less a deliberate curse and more of a force of nature created as a byproduct of the fracture event. Regardless of its potential origins, the danger it poses is all too real to any kind of life.
